Gary Wald was one of several people who offered information about Photo 723, Fayetteville Street in Raleigh. The hotel was the Sir Walter, and was registered in the National Register of Historic Places as the “Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel.” It’s currently an apartment house named Sir Walter Apartments. And Duke Energy’s North Carolina Regional Headquarters was built where the Cadillac/Oldsmobile was located.
