... And you told us more about these photos:
Photo 868: Lots of folks let us know more about these CP&L employees. They are Susan Buckley, Dave Watts and Terri Helmlinger, who worked in the Customer Service Center (CSC) in Raleigh. Laurie Thorne contacted Watts, who is now retired, to verify and he said they are holding the Quick Reference Guide that was created in 1991. The CSC took its first call on April 1 of that year. Thanks also to Randy, Campbell, Sam Spilman, Greg Berry, Martiya Adams, Hank Dickson, Marc Mesteyer, Joy Phillips, Jackie Greene, Jane Mullins, Meg Murphy, Vanessa Shields and Anthony Solomon for helping with identifications.
Photo 855: Many folks told us that this was Fletcher Wilson who worked at the Catawba Nuclear Station. According to Robert Johnston, Fletcher worked in the Health Physics (HP) department, now known as Radiation Protection (RP). "Note the radiation counter on the desk and the absence of a computer to log in the information that he is recording," said Johnston.
"Fletcher was an incredible teammate who recently passed away," added Lance Wooldrige,. "Thank you for the photo. It brought back wonderful memories of my long-time friend."
And thanks to other teammates who identified Wilson and/or gave us more information about the photo: Lynn Ferrell Chupp, Savannah Smith, Lamar Worsham, Tracey Kendrick, John Burns, Paul Stephenson, Rodney Hampton, Amanda Jo Droppers, Mark Furtick, Mike Ruhe, Kathy Jonas, John Suptela, Eddie Benfield, and Rick Lyerly.
Photo 863: According to Lisa Pople, these Piedmont Natural Gas employees were working as the Piedmont Customer Info System (S2K – service 2000) was being deployed for North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee service territories.
The employees are Pope at left and T.C. DeSilva at right. The man at the computer is unidentified. Jim Dudley said the photo was taken at Piedmont’s corporate headquarters on Rexford Road in the Southpark area of Charlotte, N.C. Lisa, who still works for the company, said, "I will own the 1990s look. It's me. I look thrilled to be there."
