Mysteries solved!
This photo from the World of Energy at Oconee Nuclear Station in South Carolina was very popular! Several wrote in to tell us the map is a model of the Keowee-Toxaway Project, which includes Oconee Nuclear Station, Keowee Hydro Facility, Jocassee Pumped Storage Facility, and Bad Creek Pumped Storage Facility. Amy Peebles, a current Oconee Nuclear Station employee, sent the photo to her mother Joyce, a former employee, who was able to identify all of the women who posed for this photo in 1969. In front of map reading from left: Elaine Willis, Liz Freeze and Faye Fowler. Around the map from left: Joyce Kelley, Helen Cooper, Sherry Gilstrap, Betty Dacus, Glenda Waldrop, Doris Madden, Marie Weekly, Carolyn Harvell, Donna Leatherwood, Joyce Wood, Eleanor Hansen, Betty Duncan, and Gertrude Cole.
