Organizations and businesses in Indiana's 92 counties illustrated landmarks and achievements of the Hoosier State on bison last year to recognize the state's bicentennial. The American bison – referred to as “bufello” by settlers – was selected to depict Indiana’s past because it adorns the state seal, recognizing Indiana’s pioneering spirit.
