Haw River Access and Native Prairie Demonstration Site

Alamance Community College Foundation

The project improves water quality on the Haw River by restoring three acres to native prairie, providing an outdoor classroom with educational displays and expanding public access to the river.

This project will improve water quality in the Cape Fear River basin, provide enhanced wildlife habitat, expand public access to the Haw River, serve as a river buffer model for community members and provide educational opportunities for community college and high school students."
