Meet five veterans whose service didn’t end when they left the military.
They brought teamwork, a focus on safety and the belief they are serving something greater than themselves to Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas. The companies are stronger because that’s where they chose to deploy their skills.
On Nov. 11, the country thanks and honors veterans who served in war and in peacetime. In the days leading up to Veterans Day, Duke Energy is highlighting someone from each branch of the service as a way of saying thanks to the 2,000 veterans who work for the company. All of these veterans have relatives who also served the country.
