Duke Energy’s Charlotte, N.C., headquarters houses thousands of old photos from Florida to Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and the Carolinas. However, many of the photos are not properly identified. Photo 320: This photo from Cincinnati Gas & Electric collection has a note that the employees are in the training yard known as "Groundsman College." Where were they and does it still exist? 


Photo 325: Who are these Duke Power employees? We think this was at Marshall Steam Station in Catawba County, N.C.


Photo 328: This is photo from the Cincinnati Gas & Electric collection is marked as the Plum Street Power Station on the Miami-Erie Canal. Does the buidling still exist? If not, what’s in its place?

Mysteries solved!


Duke Energy employee Tom Tate used the trucks in photo 308 to help date the photo. The cars, he said, are 1941 Fords. Do you have any other details about the photo?
