For over 180 years, Duke Energy and its predecessor companies have provided electric and natural gas services to customers in southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. CG&E (Cincinnati Gas & Electric) served customers from 1837 until 1994, when it merged with PSI Energy to form Cinergy. That company merged with Duke Energy in 2006.
