Duke Energy has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for North American companies, for the 12th year in a row, a great accomplishment for any company.
The index is compiled annually by S&P Dow Jones and Zurich-based RobecoSAM (Sustainable Asset Management) – and measures companies on such metrics as corporate governance, innovation management, environmental policy, climate strategy and corporate citizenship. Sustainability Manager Pete Sherrard, who oversees the company’s submission for the index, said some numbers help illustrate the company’s sustainable progress.
